The behaviour of turbulent, buoyant, planar plumes is fundamentally coupled to the environment within which they develop. effect a background stratification directly influences buoyancy and has been subject numerous studies. Conversely, an ambient co-flow, vertical momentum plume, not previously theoretical investigation. governing conservation equations for case uniform co-flow are derived local dynamical plume shown be characterised by scaled source Richardson number relative magnitude velocities. For forced, pure lazy release conditions acts narrow reduce both dilution asymptotic classic zero case. Analytical solutions developed from line sources, highly forced releases sources finite width in weak co-flow.
